The Nano AFO incorporates a hemi-spiral strut providing greater flexibility and durability than standard carbon fiber AFOs. The strut originates on the medial or lateral footplate and spirals to the midpoint of the calf cuff, similar to the Noodle Classic. This patented strut provides dorsiflexion assist during swing phase and initial contact, as well as allow plantarflexion assist at terminal stance to simulate normal ankle musculature resulting in an improved gait.
