Articulated ValgaNoodle AFO

Custom from Cast or Scan

  • Design makes donning and doffing easy
  • Provides free motion or controlled dorsiflexion and plantarflexion
  • Controls medial-lateral instability
  • Supports ankle varus or valgus deformities
  • Positions foot for safety during swing phase
  • Dampens heel strike and prevents foot slap

The Articulated ValgaNoodle AFO is similar to the Solid ValgaNoodle but it incorporates a joint at either the medial or lateral malleolus. It includes a medial or lateral “Reverse-T” designed to support ankle deformities. This design gives the practitioner the ability to limit ROM as necessary using a mechanical joint. The “Reverse-T” gives the user the ability to vary the amount of pressure applied just proximal to the malleolus making it comfortable and functional. This AFO is easy to wear and takes up significantly less shoe space than plastic AFOs.   The articulated ValgaNoodle is highly customizable and has many options which are listed below.

Articulated ValgaNoodle AFO’s are available exclusively through clinical orthotists and prosthetists.

Check with your doctor and orthotist to verify that you can safely use the Articulated ValgaNoodle AFO. The Articulated ValgaNoodle AFO applies biomechanical corrective forces to the leg, increasing ambulatory performance. Your doctor/orthotist will select the proper design to maximize these benefits specific to your individual needs. Your doctor/orthotists will be there for any follow-up care, adjustments, repairs and its eventual replacement. Ask your doctor/orthotist for guidance on the use and care of your Articulated ValgaNoodle AFO.

Your doctor/orthotist will determine if the Articulated ValgaNoodle AFO is right for you!

Do not use the Articulated ValgaNoodle AFO for ambulation or transfer if you are not capable of ambulation or transfer.
